CLHIA responds to federal engagement on advancing a pan-Canadian civilian response capacity

The CLHIA provided information about assistance provided by life and health insurers in the event of an emergency requiring evacuation. These services could include coverage for replacement of healthcare items that could be lost, damaged or inaccessible in the case of an emergency evacuation.
Insurers may also offer additional psychological support services for impacted populations, particularly first responders, in emergency situations.
