The life and health insurance industry believes that the best approach is for government to focus on systemic reforms that help those who do not currently have public or private insurance coverage and address the high cost of specialty drugs for chronic and rare diseases. We believe that this approach is the most financially sustainable and is aligned with what the majority of Canadians want from a national pharmacare program.
