News Release
Release Date: 11/05/2020 Staff Reference: Kevin Dorse(Toronto, November 5, 2020) – The Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association issued this statement in response to today’s 2020 Ontario Budget.
“CLHIA and Ontario’s life and health insurers are committed to helping Ontarians and Ontario employers through this economic recovery. We welcome opportunities to continue to contribute to this.
Investments in health care are crucial to managing this crisis. We are pleased with the investments that the government is dedicating to the health of Ontarians. Also, this is a time of considerable anxiety and uncertainty for many in the province. Measures to protect consumers remain vital so that no one is able to take advantage of the insecurity many are feeling.”
- Stephen Frank, President and CEO, Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association
