CLHIA Submission on Bill 64: An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information

We would like to begin by saying that we commend the government’s willingness to modernize the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (hereinafter the “Private Sector Act”) so that the new legal framework reflects best practices and new ways of protecting personal information.
