CLHIA Comments on FSRA Guidance Framework 2020

The CLHIA responded to the FSRA consultation entitled “New FSRA Guidance Framework”. This framework includes definitions of different types of regulator guidance. There are four types of Guidance defined in the consultation:

· Interpretations

· Information

· Approaches

· Decisions

Every 3-5years FSRA will review of Interpretations, Information, and approaches. Reviews will assess legislation based on a number of listed principles. These will include accountability, effectiveness, efficiency, adaptability, collaboration, and transparency. The CLHIA supports this approach, and FSRA’s focus on reducing regulatory burden.
